The Yorkshire Dales National Park 3 Peaks
If you’re up for quite the challenge this spring and you enjoy a good hike, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is the perfect place. It’s home to the famous 3 peaks; Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough with Pen-y-ghent being the easiest and Ingleborough being the toughest. This trek is 39.2km long (around 24.5 miles) and will take around 12 hours to complete but can be done in under this time 🌄
Whether you hike up just one of the peaks or all three, this Dales adventure will bring an amazing sense of achievement. It’s also definitely worth the early morning wake-up, for the beautiful scenery and if timed right, the sunset too!
Boom & Bloom Event, Winchester Science Centre
Are you running out of ideas to keep your family entertained these Easter holidays? Why not take a trip to Winchester, where a Boom & Bloom event is taking place until the 17th April 👨👩👧👦
This event includes two floors of exciting hands-on exhibits for all ages. This includes a free live science show, an Easter egg hunt, garden activities and so much more! This is your chance to become a part of experiments and have some fun in the world of science.
A Day in Whitby
A trip to the coast is always a lovely day out! Whitby is a popular Yorkshire town known for its wonderful harbour, surrounded by many small houses and restaurants. It’s great to visit in spring because of the beautiful sunsets. You’ll hopefully be able to experience the warm weather rather than the moody weather that it’s famous for 🌊
Whilst in Whitby you can enjoy a boat trip along the coast or explore the history of Whitby Abbey, that has been standing on the East cliff above the coastline for 1,500 years. Here, you will discover the stories of saints, poets and Dracula within the gothic ruins.
Food & Drink Festivals
A perfect way to spend the day now that the sun is shining is at a Food & Drink festival. What better way to get together with friends and family than having a good time with delicious food and drinks 😋
In the coming months, all around the UK, there are plenty of festivals being held 🍻 You can search online for your nearest festival and head down! A few we would recommend are; Chow Down in Leeds, Wetherby Beer Festival, Bishop Auckland Food Festival, Bakewell Food Festival, Wolverhampton Food & Music Festival and Darlington Food & Drink Festival.
Explore the villages of The Cotswolds
Visit the beautiful villages of Cotswolds! If you like the sound of shopping in small boutiques, having a pub lunch or a stay away in a hotel and spa, this place has it all for you 👌
Within the biggest town, Cirencester, you’ll find weekly events in the Corn Hall including a regular Saturday craft market. The Wildlife Park & Gardens in Burford is a must visit, exhibiting over 260 different species of animals. Or if you prefer a woodland walk and enjoy bird watching, take a stroll through the Foxholes Nature Reserve. It’s the perfect place to admire, especially during spring!
